It took us a little longer to display all of the new pieces in our showroom this week, so the blog is a little late, but just as spectacular. This week we feature gorgeous vintage McGuire pieces, one-of-a-kind decor items and a few stunning chairs to accent a variety of homes.
As always, stop by anytime, Monday-Saturday, 10AM-6PM, give us a call at 503.222.6122 or email us at home@seamstofit.com with any questions.
Featuring classic honeycomb caning at the back and gorgeous hand-bent rattan, these four, vintage dining armchairs add style and durability to this McGuire dining set, which also includes a 48-inch round table, priced at $2990–SOLD. Decorating the surface are three stand-out ceramic pieces: an oversize Carol Gouthro vase with richly-glazed red tulips ($1500–SOLD), a textured, green-glazed, ceramic Tom Coleman teapot ($250–SOLD) and a beautiful matching bowl ($500–SOLD).
A pair of low-profile, black leather-cushioned sofas by Mcguire feature caned side panels and classic McGuire rattan. Each piece measures 78″ long and is priced at $1900–SOLD. Providing color to the landscape are custom, red velvet pillows ($85 each–SOLD) and white, down-filled pillows with French script ($60 each–SOLD). Anchoring the pair is a brand new, iron-framed coffee table by Stanley with a glass top surface, priced at $995–SOLD. Atop the table sits a lidded ginger jar in red and gold and mounted to a cast brass stand ($125–SOLD). Up against the wall stands a black Chinese armoire, priced at $1195–SOLD.
Called by many ‘the Chihuly of clay,’ the American ceramicist George Alexander is known for richly-colored glazes and sensational three-dimensional details. Full of vitality and sophistication, we feature this outstanding, poppy-covered vessel in bright orange, crisp white and kelly green. We have the sculpture priced at $2800–SOLD.
We continue to find ourselves full of amazing ceramic pieces, most notably from Oregon’s own Tom Coleman. We have numerous platters, bowls and vases, but the glazed, lidded jar above is a stand-out. Depicting a minimalist landscape with a white backdrop, the jar measures 19″ high with the lid and we have it priced at $750–SOLD.
Here we see four vintage, mid-century Knoll BRNO chairs in flat silver chrome with a black leather body. Designed by Miles van der Rohe, we have each chair priced at $450–SOLD.
For stylish comfort, look no further than this contemporary, black, tufted leather armchair and ottoman, made in Norway, priced at $595–SOLD. A simple side table is all that is needed beside it, this one is a metal-tray-top table from Design House Stockholm and it is priced at $150–SOLD. Finally, the chair sits atop a beautiful Tibetan wool Tufenkian rug in grays and peach. It measures 6′ x 9′, and is a steal at $900–SOLD.
