We are fortunate to have received a collection of pieces from Bill Karow, a local artist, who creates gorgeous, one-of-a-kind, turned wood pieces from salvaged trees sourced from NW Portland. Karow is a self-taught artisan, crafting extraordinary beauty from his converted garage shop. His pieces revel in the perfectly imperfect nature of wood, giving character and meaning to each piece.
“It gives me great joy to take something that’s perceived as flawed or having little value, and elevating its significance and worth. Turning it into something to appreciate and respect. And turning it into something beautiful.“
